Words, words, words

Just a few of George's favourite expressions:

In a minute ("ima-init")
See you nex' week
I havin' one a those
Ere we go
I need help
Is it funny?
I two a half
Wake up, Mummy!
I doin' watering

Theme Park Extravaganza - Day Three

We were joined by Grandad today, so we made him go on some of the rides with George - and he came swimming too.

Didn't stay so late in the park today as we were all tired and had to get to Wolverhampton in the evening with non-functioning windscreen wipers.

Theme Park Extravaganza - Day Two

Lots and lots and lots of rides - pretty much everything that George was tall enough to go on, we went on. Daddy goes with him on the up and down things, and Mummy does the round and round ones - and George loves them all!

When he got tired, we walked back to the hotel, let him nap for half an hour and then hit the Water Park. Even more fun - big rubber rings, little slides, things to climb, and swimming outside. When it closed, George cried.

Theme Park Extravaganza - Day One

I managed to talk Daddy out of a week in Orlando, on the grounds that a) we can't afford it, b) it will be too hot and c) George is too young to remember it. Instead we found a cheap deal for two nights at the Alton Towers Hotel - not quite the same I know, but we had a good time.

On the way we stopped off at Cadbury World (or Factory Num Num as George calls it). He didn't stand still long enough to look at the exhibits - for him it was more of a race from one chocolate-wielding member of staff to another.

At the hotel, we discovered that the lifts play "Theme Park Music", and George was excited to see the Pirate. We ate at the buffet in Splash Landings, complete with Cocktails, and George had a very late night because he couldn't decide between two bunk beds and a cot. "I sleep high bed. I sleep low bed. I sleep cot. I sleep high bed. I sleep low bed. I sleep cot..." etc etc.

More Seaside, More

It's just one long round of short breaks here!

This weekend we took a trip to Clacton - just can't get enough of those 2p machines (although haven't yet found a suitable way of displaying all the tat I have got out of them over the years).

Had fun at Adventure Island in Southend on the way - enjoyed the system which only requires a wristband for George then lets one of us accompany him free (we made Daddy walk up to the top of the Helter Skelter with him)

Clacton was fun too - we even made sandcastles and collected shells on the beach (okay, maybe that was just me).

We stayed in a caravan - the first one I have ever sampled which actually had a decent shower - and enjoyed the swimming pool. George went on the water slide about 40 times!

(Hopefully there are photos to follow - this was one of the few pools we have been to over the past year which didn't ban cameras, so we finally used up the waterproof disposable camera I bought last year. But it isn't digital so it might be a while before it gets processed.)

Fairy!

This is what happens when you play with the big girls:
(If we are not careful, Daddy is going to ban us from going to Sarah's house)
