Open Wide!

It seems that Peppa Pig might finally have influenced George in a good way. After getting the blame for so many new developments (including the introduction of the word "boring" to George's vocabulary, and the instruction "you must bow when you speak to me") it seems only fair that she should also get the credit for his remarkable behaviour at the dentist today.

Even though the dentist wasn't actually Dr Elephant, George was still very happy to sit in the chair, wear the protective glasses, and open his mouth nice and wide so that he could be prodded with a sharp metal thing. The only proviso was that he insisted on having some of the special coloured water afterwards (and didn't understand that you aren't supposed to swallow it!)

What a star!

Left to His Own Devices

Picture the scene:

Daddy is away on business, actually in the air en route to a meeting.

Tickets for the free "Rage Against The Machine" gig are being released at 9am.

Mummy has agreed to get one for Daddy, who is unable to get online himself (see above).

Seetickets.com once again prove their inability to deal with large numbers of people wanting to book tickets at the same time.

Mummy spends two hours opening new internet windows, hitting F5, watching twitter feeds for clues to progress.

George gets even more bored than Mummy and decides to amuse himself by getting out some pink paint and some glitter and painting the first thing he finds on the table...which just happens to be Mummy's Appraisal Report from work!

Daddy had better be very very grateful!!

More Snow!

Another spell of snowy weather. George and I have been making the most of it, building a (mini) snowman, and playing snowballs.

Southend

For reasons that we don't need to go into here, Mummy was particularly keen to visit a shop which only has branches in Essex. Daddy and George weren't complaining though, because Southend also happens to be home to a fabulous funfair.

Adventure Island is great fun and even better value - George's wristband entitles him to be accompanied by an adult free of charge. (Which is just as well because while D + G were riding and driving and sliding, Mummy spent a small fortune on clothes!)
