Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Another week, another seaside. This time it's Wells-Next-The-Sea in Norfolk, staying in a log cabin. But the weather isn't so great - at least not for the first couple of days.

We managed to entertain ourselves (a little) with trips to garden centres, and we found an indoor play place for George to climb in.

And then at the end of the week the sun came out, and we had a great day in Great Yarmouth. Another model village, more rides, some 2p machines and chips.

Oh, We Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside

Daddy has a speaking engagement in Torquay, so we are tagging along for a short seaside break. Really lovely weather, big hotel (with nice big room) including play area and swimming pool.

George and I amused ourselves with all that, plus a tour of the local shops and a visit to "Living Coasts" which wasn't as bad as Trip Advisor would suggest - although I am glad we only paid for one adult to go because it might have seemed a bit pricey otherwise.

George liked the Model Village at Babbacombe - well, he liked the model railway layout which was part of the Model Village, especially as it included a Thomas pulling a flatbed with Harold on it - very exciting.

We also managed to find a theme park with farm attached - what could be better?

Auntie Sarah's Wedding

(And Uncle Paul's wedding too!)

Off to Wales for pageboy duties (for George, that is). Luckily he managed to make it down the aisle with the ring pillow intact - then promptly fell asleep for the duration of the service.

At the reception he had great fun running around the grounds with the other children, and had a very late night.

In a Field

We decided to go camping for the weekend - our annual non-Festival trip. George seemed to enjoy it, and got quite possessive about his "field". Luckily the campsite had a play park and a great sandpit and George made lots of friends because we seemed to be the only parents who had the forethought to bring some sand toys with us.

The site was near to the river at Staines, and we had a day out in Windsor which included a trip on the big wheel as well as a Thai restaurant.
